Today's letter is S for (Sorry) this is so late, and Super Surf and Turf! I am sorry this is late but I am back in school and have a ton of homework again. Ugh. Vacation is definitely over! Anyways, let's talk about what I love: a super surf and turf combo.
My preferred surf and turf combo is steak and scallops. I can always go for a big, juicy medium rare steak and a bunch of perfectly seared sea scallops. Yeah, this post probably isn't for my vegetarian bloggers out there!
I always pair my steaks with a big portion of some form of potato. Usually with steak it's a nice mash. With my scallops I usually do a pasta or something lighter like a corn succotash. No matter what kind of meal I want, there is always a carb, some veggies, and a protein involved.
I always order the steak or scallops when I go to the Peter Shields. When paired together, it is a magical combination! What's your favorite surf and turf meal?
Well, you know I'm piscatarian (no meat or fowl, only eat fish), somi'm not up for the turf part if this meal, but those pan seared scallops look tummy. How bout giving us the recipe for that corn succotash. That sounds like something I would enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThese comments are made off my smart phone. Apparently, it's not as smart as it thinks. The typos are incredible. Sorry about that.
ReplyDeleteAlso wanted to say: your doing great with this blog and the A to Z Challenge, BUT school comes first. No worries about being late or even combining a few days if necessary. Besides, you're almost finished up here.
Thanks for the encouragement! I am doing the best I can to keep up with everything. I hate falling behind, in anything I do.
DeleteLOL about the "Smart" phone. My phone does that too! :)
Surf and turf? First one I ate was lobster and steak. Now? I think I would go for shrimp and a rare New York strip steak (small).
ReplyDeleteI like lobster- but I LOVE scallops! IDK what it is about them- maybe because they are so versatile- but I could eat them every night. My dad's friend is a scallop fisherman and he will come straight in off the boat and deliver them to our house. They are so fresh- and absolutely delicious, every time!
DeleteI don't do beef, so chicken and shrimp is always my favorite. Especially the kind you get at a Japanese steak house.
ReplyDeleteNo beef? Are you allergic or just have an aversion to it? Our neighbor's son is allergic to beef and can't eat it at all. He does a lot of turkey and chicken as substitutes. Chicken and shrimp are always a nice combo. And I especially like them in Japanese or Asian fusion style too. YUM!
